The Year Before is a Pop-Punk/Alternative band hailing from America's Dairyland: Wisconsin. They began their musical journey in September of 2008, after the break-up of their former band. The founding members, Jesse Schedivy, Justin Forde and CJ Holmes knew they wanted to continue making music after this event, so they began practicing in CJ's basement. Soon thereafter, The Year Before began composing their own original songs, with very little thought of playing cover songs. More and more, the members of TYB4 realized just how much they wanted to play music for a living. However, key pieces were still missing from the band, including a lead singer and 2nd guitarist. Though these missing pieces haven't slowed the band down, they have prevented them from reaching their full potential. As the search for musicians that fit the band continues, The Year Before will continue to create heartpounding music and play shows whenever they can.
